K and I try to be politically correct parents, we really do.
We have tried to explain to The Mayor and The Rooster that when they grow up they can be anything they want to be regardless of their genders, but The Rooster always defies us."When I grow up, I'm going to be a dinosaur! A butterfly! Maisy Mouse!"
How am I supposed to tow the party line with aspirations like these?
[Oh, the literal mother.]
Yesterday in the car, she and I were talking about K and she said,"When I grow up, I want to be my Daddy because I love him SO much."
Then she mused,"Daddy... he's my... he's my... CUPCAKE."
Too bad she's not sixteen, I think he would have bought her a convertible if she had asked for one.

So flippin cute!!
look at that smile... wow. i'd owe her eleventy million ponies by now
Before you know it she'll be 16 and telling you to go to hell. sigh.
Absolutely precious!
The pure, unadulterated love that comes gushing forth at this age is great. I'm getting a video camera and taping it to play back when my kids are 16 and think I'm the worst mom in the world and are screaming they hate me when they slam their bedroom door. (Will they ever do that? ;0) )
Kids. They do know the right things to say!!
{faints from teh cute}
Look at the cheesy little smile! I just want to EAT her!
omg...i think im gonna by her a car...
that was too freaking cute man!!!
AWWWWWWWWWWWWW!
a-licious
in da hizzzzouse
That Roo, she's a doll.
Such a cutie!
When my middle daughter was that age, she insisted she would be a flower when she grew up. Now at almost twelve, I think she's accomplishing that goal in some ways--though now she's settled on dentist as a career choice. :)
LOL - That's adorable! And way better than being called a "dump truck", which is what my boy clown used to call me. :)
My youngest insists she is marrying Dadddy. Um. It doesn't really work like that...
Rooster is so darn cute!
I really hope you've taken to calling your hubby "Cupcake" exclusively since then...
What a cutie.
Heck, she's not my kid and I want to buy her a convertible.
ohmigosh. that's WAY too cute!
frig. she is an edible little thing
That is one of the cutest things I've read in some time. I want a little girl. I know my husband would be WHIPPED.
what a face!
Mine told me last week that he wanted to grow up to be a lady, like me, so he could have a baby and nurse it like I nursed him.

Oh, my GOD, is she a cutie patootie. Adorable picture.
And what she said...yes, top of the line convertible with all the extras her daddy would be buying. He may be at the dealership right now.
And LOVE your new picture in the top right corner. Very nice!
god do i ever love her.
She's your Mini Me.
So, so precious.
Awww. Be prepared for cars. LOL
Ridiculous.
In a good way.
The Rooster is so darn cute!
Look at her - that smile!
She looks just like you, you know.
It's a shame they waste all that sweetness when they're little and then "turn" as teenagers, just when they're on the verge of being able to weasel anything they want out of you.
Oooh the absolute gorgeous sweetness of her face and smile, how do you possibly resist spending every waking moment not hugging and kissing her?!!Isn't it wonderful when little girls absolutely adore their Daddies, love it!
Little girls can be such suck-ups.
Claudia pulls that crap on her Dad too.
Isn't he your cupcake?
Seriously cute.
Too freaking, fracking cute!
We ask Gracie what she wants to be. Her top 2 (and she's consistent about them):
a star catcher
and
the best girl guitar player in the world.
LOL! She's adorable. What can I buy her!?
tonight I go to sleep singing
Mai-ai-sy Mai-si-sy ... Maisy Maisy Mouse!!
This post will live in my mindly wanderings for many an hour :)
Great. Now I want a cupcake.
Thanks, Jess!
Really, though, I'd buy her a car too. Just adorable!
